|| DAY 015: GENERAL
The morning has dawned crisp and cool, with small flurries of snow falling upon the townsfolk. The snow is beginning to stick, clinging to stone work and glass first, but by midday it will have made itself into small drifts against the building.
|| THE TOWN
As day dawns on the Castle, the Night Market has started to pack up their wares. Though strangely, they seem in no rush to leave this morning.
Around the square and town, candles have been placed that flicker with differently colored flames, mainly green and red.
The Butcher comes early to the market, a dozen baked chickens on a tray that he places firmly on the table, glaring around as though to challenge anyone who might comment on his appearance at this celebration with no invitation.
The Tea Woman sets a heavy iron pot on the fire, and begins to sing to herself softly as she fills it with water from the well. This boiling water she adds to smaller pots, adding tea leaves and other spices as she works.
A large table has been lain out for those who wish to celebrate, at the request of the houseguests, and almost shyly the towns folk are laying things upon it.
The Cheese Woman appears with a tray of cheese and a basket full of pickles and boiled eggs, her daughter left behind. She soon leaves and returns with an entire tray of sausages.
Manny appears as though summoned, a giant sheet of canvas strung up over the tables. Some of the Bullmen aid him in stringing it up, so the food will not be spoiled by an ill turn of the weather.
The Candy Maker appears with a shy smile, leaving a tray of sweets on the table for all to enjoy.
The Baker is moving baskets out to the table with fresh rolls and some small pastries and rolls with sweet fillings.
The Ready Wailers take a break as day arrives, skittering under the cover, but once the tent is erected they quickly rejoin the party and return to music making.
A few of the Gamsters walk among the crowd, pulling small coins from the ears of those gathered, and producing small gifts as though by magic. Their normal fey appearance seems somehow lessened, though they are still rather tattered as they wander the crowd.
A few might even notice a boy slipping in and out of the edge of the crowd, looking at people from under the fringe of his hair.
The Apothecary seems more than ready to encounter a number of hangovers in his soon-to-be-future.
The Monastery is shut and locked as usual, however, Treasa has emerged to join the townsfolk and servants in their festivities. She stands at the edge of the Market Square, watching the crowds and ongoings with a reserved but plainly curious air.
The Male Prisoner stands at the edge of the Rose House, watching the gathering with some interest in his otherwise empty gaze. His hands have been crudely wrapped in layers upon layers of rags, making them clumsy and rather useless for anything involving dexterity.
The Carpenter is making wooden roses from twigs, presenting them to anyone who walks near enough. The Weaver sits on the ground, humming to herself as she works a hand loom gracefully.
A few Guards occasionally circulate through the crowd; the armor suits seem to be uncomfortable, and will occasionally linger over the Wanted Posters for Mukuro, Hibari, and Yamamoto that remain up.
Occasionally a cloaked, hooded figure in long sleeves and gloves with a scarf obscuring their face lurks around the edges of the crowd. When not avoiding the guards, Sil can also be found in the gardens, somewhat less careful of hiding his features and tending two swords.
|| CASTLE
Despite the apparent merrymaking outside, chores have still been assigned to all who dwell within the castle.
The trunks for those who have sought other lodging seem curiously blurred, their names no longer easy to read.
Inside the torture chamber, a metal banging can be heard.
