Day 048: Noon

|| Day 048: NOON
Just before the hour of Noon a rumble shakes the houses, it starts as a noise barely heard, at a pitch that most will not recognize as sound. It builds into a vibration that rattles loose items and pictures on the wall. It builds to a ripple, sloshing the lake over its banks, causing small tsunamis in the bottles in the Bar. It crescendos as a bone jarring whine that lasts a full minute, penetrating the skulls of everyone in the house.

Anyone in the Second House will die as the house disintegrates around them, and anyone going to the upper floor corridor that once connected the houses will find only a sheer drop. Nothing remains.

The destruction seems to be creeping outwards, pieces of the remaining houses vanishing under the onslaught. There seems to be no cause, nor any solution.

Joseph can be found at midday in the ballroom, a baby cradled in one arm. He alternately plays with the infant and speaks to the boy kneeling on the floor.

Lock seems to be trying his very best to ignore the man, his gaze locked on the outline of a door on the floor, and his hand clasping at a small stone. His face is pale and his lips are bloodless they are so tightly pressed together.

Those who died when the Second House died will wake up after a normal amount of time in the attic.

Soubi and Sam will both feel a tug directing them to the Ballroom.

As the day creeps closer to its death, the outline of the door grows clearer and clearer.

For those affected by the Fire from the vision at daybreak, the effects are fading quickly. Anyone with burns will find them vanishing quickly as the Second House dies, while the incense pervading the houses fades to nothing along with all of its effects. Those with ash marks will find it fading slower, a protection withering away in the original source's absence.
