POST-CYCLE INFO
Oct. 6th, 2019 07:13 pmCharacters new to the setting or that haven't been in the setting in a while will arrive slightly differently than before. Players have three options:
1) Somewhere mid-step, passing through a doorway or other threshold, instead of where they had been, they find themselves coming in through the new door by the Dorms in the basement. There will be a bed and chest with their name on it for the time being as long as they are in setting, although they are as free to come and go as anyone else.
2) The same process, but through the strange locked door in the back wall of the Pub. The door shuts quickly and locks behind anyone entering this way; they can still come and go through the basement door, however, should they choose.
3) Waking up in an empty bed in the dorms. They will still be clothed in whatever they had been wearing last, but there will be a chest with their name on it at the foot of the bed that may contain random personal effects.
On the bulletin board where chores had been posted, there is now a letter. The handwriting is loose and uneven, letters a little large, but whoever wrote it was trying to be neat about it, with occasional stray marks where a word was stumbled over.
"On behalf of my family and people, I deeply apologize for what you have gone through at my father's hands. I will be trying to set right the damage caused, although it will be a slow process. When there is more stability there will be arrangements for other accomodations, but for now, I am afraid the Keep's energy must go towards other efforts. You are free to use what you need within these walls, and are no longer bound to this keep.
The Fog may still be dangerous, and is outside of anyone's control. Should you wander into it, look for the carriage to return to safer areas.
Regards, Leitner"
The Steward is noticeably absent.
